Shata Dhauta Ghrita, aka SDG, is a classic Ayurvedic skin formulation that is the result of washing ghee in water, traditionally 100 times.

This SDG is truly the result of a labor of love and prepared in small batches over 6+ hours using the highest quality organic ghee as well as moon-structured water. The final 10 washes are done using Rose Geranium Hydrosol, which is balancing for all skin types. And for a little extra goodness, this SDG is prepared with a continual chanting of the Mahamritunjaya Mantra, one of Ayurveda’s most beloved healing mantras.

SDG is traditionally prescribed as a remedy for scarring, burns, acne, and numerous other inflammatory skin conditions that could use a bit of soothing. I’ve come to love it as a daily moisturizer – it is light, hydrating and non-oily.
